Greeting:
Children greet each other by name, often including hand shaking,
clapping, singing, and several fun ways to greet each other. The
Purpose of greeting is to set a positive tone. Through these activities
children get a sense of belonging and recognition and practice offering
hospitality as well as it encourages clear and audible speech.
Sharing:
Students share some news of interest to the class and respond to each
other, practicing communication skills and learning about each other.
News/Announcements: Students develop language skills and discuss about the events in the day ahead with the help with our daily message charts.
Academic Choice/Tray Area:
Children learn best when they are given choices about what they’re
learning and plenty of opportunities to explore, to make decision, and
take risks. The tray area is a tool that lets children discover things
on their own with the intervention and guidance of the teacher. A
variety of materials are used, and students rotate and are exposed to
multiple activities. These include math, language, art, and games to
enhance children's cognitive development.

We
provide children with a healthy nutritious morning snack. Follow by
indoor play, with costumes, play kitchen, and construction items.
Throughout the day, we seek the teachable moment, as we create memories
and recognize each child’s needs. We believe in teaching children new
things in a relaxed, natural setting, allowing them to effectively
absorb new concepts and develop lifelong skills.
11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Outdoor Play. Group. Group Activity
Outdoor play:
We use outdoor playtime to provide opportunities for children to
develop their gross motor skills by using riding toys, and even learn
math and science firsthand in the sand box. We also use this time to
ask individual questions of the students allowing them to use their
imagination and direct them with positive messages.
Group Activity: The
whole class does a short activity that relates to the theme of the day
building class cohesion through active participation. We may do a
science project, arts and crafts, cooking activity, interactive
five-ten minutes educational movie, all while putting emphasis on
cognitive development as we generate a series of questions.

12:00 - 1:00 p.m. Lunch Time. Independent Reading.
Lunch:
Lunch is provided by the parents. Each student is encouraged to grab
his or her lunch bag as we encourage independence. Every gathering is
an opportunity to teach new vocabulary, encourage table manners, absorb
new material, and learn more about each other. We ask a series of
open-ended and multiple-choice questions such as: Puedo tener...? (Can
I have...?), Ayudame por favor (please help me), Quiero (I want),
Necesito (I need), Porfavor (please), Gracias (thank you)
I ndependent Reading: Follow
by our lunch, teachers direct children to read/look at a book silently
while we wait for our friends to finish their lunch. We also make time
to read to them as well.
Closing Circle (For children who come only in the morning):
The children gather and take turns sharing, it’s a time for reflection
and provides a clam, positive tone at the end of the day. The closing
circle can touch on many topics such as something the child liked about
the day, something the class did well, or something they could to
better tomorrow, etc.
1:00 - 2:15 p.m. Nap. Quiet Time. Arrival Time for Afternoon Students
Children who don’t nap are encouraged to
do a quiet activity such as drawing, playing blocks, reading a book.
etc. Children who arrive at one have greeting, social time, self
directed actvity, and introduction to daily theme.
2:30 - 2:45 p.m. Afternoon Snack Time

Afternoon Hours Activities
Children in our afternoon program are exposed to a variety of
exploratory classes. We help them enhance their learning, confidence,
self-esteem, imagination, and academic abilities through classes which
offer the opportunity to experience multiple skills. We will alternate
