Studies show that children who study a second language demonstrate greater cognitive development in areas such as mental flexibility, creativity, divergent thinking, and high-order thinking skills. Additionally, children who are exposed to a second language early in life can achieve higher levels of proficiency in math, music, and science. By offering Spanish immersion and Spanish enrichment programs tailored to your child’s unique abilities and interests, Welcome Amigos can help them develop solid academic and social skills, and pave the way for a well-rounded education. Our students are always encouraged to come up with their own ideas, express their individual talents, and share them with their peers so that all can appreciate and learn from their unique point of view.

"A study of bilingual infants suggests that a bilingual upbringing outfits infants with more sensitive language perception abilities, even for languages other than the two spoken at home. Psychologist Janet Werker discusses the findings, and whether the trend may hold true through the years."
