 Teachers’ Goals and Objectives:

The Welcome Amigos staff is committed to making a wonderful summer camp experience for our students ages 6 - 11.

Our Delfines class will take the lead in expanding ideas around each weekly camp theme while diving into literacy, math, reading comprehension, and writing.

Students will:

  • Dive into captivating stories, participate in dynamic group discussions, and confidently share their ideas with peers.

  • Engage in activities that foster creative writing, improve reading comprehension, and strengthen public speaking skills.

  • Learn through interactive games, hands-on workshops, and creative projects that spark a genuine passion for the Spanish language.

  • Build confidence and develop life skills through outdoor adventures, team-building activities, and group presentations, making every experience memorable.

Week 1 June 8 - 12

Viajando por Latinoamérica 

(Traveling through Latin America)

 

¿

Qué secretos culturales podrías descubrir en cada país de Latinoamérica?
Delfines explores the rich cultures of Latin America through food, music, and traditions. They create travel journals in Español, design passports with stamps from each country, and practice geography and cultural comparisons as they develop short dialogs throughout the week.

Week 3 June 22 - 26

Inventores Creativos

(Creative Inventors)

¿Qué invento cambiaría el mundo si lo pudieras crear hoy?
Campers design prototypes using recycled materials, write persuasive “sales pitches,” and showcase inventions at an “Expo de Inventores.” Vocabulary focuses on innovation, problem-solving, and presenting ideas.

Week 5 July 6 - 10

Viaje en el Tiempo

(Time Travelers)

 ¿Qué época del pasado o futuro te gustaría explorar, y por qué?
Delfines travel to different eras. Dinosaurs, ancient Egypt, medieval castles, and the future. They’ll create time-travel journals, dress up, and role-play as historians while practicing past, present, and future tense in Español, while using their innovation.

Week 7 July 20 - 24

Festival del Cine

(Film Festival)

¿Cómo contarías tu historia a través de una película?
Delfines write scripts, act, and direct short bilingual films using tablets or phones. They design movie posters, practice dialogues, and premiere their creations at a mini “cine”. Wait for young actors and actresses!

Week 9 August 3 - 7

Científicos Globales

(Global Scientesits)

 ¿Qué experimento podrías crear para descubrir algo nuevo sobre el mundo?
Each day we focus on a different branch of science: chemistry (volcanoes, slime), physics (catapults, pulleys), biology (plant growth experiments), and engineering (bridges and towers). Campers record hypotheses and results in Español science logs.

Week 2 June 15 - 19

Exploradores del Espacio

(Space Explorers) 

¿Qué pasaría si fueras un astronauta en una misión al espacio?
Campers learn about planets, stars, and astronauts while practicing Español with science terms. They design rockets, create solar system models, and write “mission logs” as if they were astronauts exploring new worlds.

Week 4 June 29 - July 2
(4-day Camp)

Detectives Misteriosos

(Mystery Detectives)

 ¿Cómo podrías resolver un misterio usando pistas (clues) y lógica?
Delfines become detectives! Each day, they solve fun mysteries and puzzles while practicing Español. Campers follow clues, ask questions, and use logic to figure out “who did it.” Activities include making detective notebooks, creating camouflages, and performing a final detective story.

Exploradores de Aventura

(Adventure Explorers)

¿Qué camino seguirías para superar un desafío y trabajar en equipo?
Campers face team-building challenges like treasure hunts, map reading, and obstacle courses. They practice survival vocabulary, teamwork language, and storytelling as they document their adventures in explorer journals.

Week 8 July 27 - 31

Guardianes del Planeta

(Guardians of the Planet)

¿Qué podrías hacer para ayudar a proteger nuestro planeta?
Campers learn about recycling, clean energy, and protecting nature. Activities include eco-art, building “green cities,” and writing environmental pledges in Español. The week ends with a presentation of their “green cities” with their own inputs.

Week 10 August 10 - 14

En sus Marcas, Listos, ¡Fuera!

(On Your Marks, Get Set, Go!)

¿Cómo podrías ayudar a tu equipo a ganar?
Delfines rotate through sports and team challenges such as soccer, obstacle courses, and basketball. They practice cheers and motivational phrases in Español, while reflecting on sportsmanship, perseverance, and teamwork.

Enrollment

 To enroll new and returning students, please submit your online enrollment form.

TUITION:

  • If you sign up for one to five sessions, full payment is due within 7 business days after we confirm your enrollment.

  • If you sign up for six to ten sessions, you can have the option to pay within 7 business days after we confirm your enrollment or

    pay half of your total balance. The remaining balance is due by April 15, 2026.

    TUITION DISCOUNTS:

  • Sign up for eight to ten sessions and get a 10% discount on your total balance per student.

  • Sign up for five to seven sessions and get a 5% discount on your total balance.

  • Sibling Discount: Families with two or more children enrolled received a discount of 3% off the tuition of the older child.

    NOTE: No Discounts can be combined

    NON-REFUNDABLE FEES:

  • Should you withdraw your child from summer camp at any time, your $300 deposit is non-refundable.

  • After April 16, 2025, the tuition is non-refundable; however, if you need to make any changes to your camp schedules, we can accommodate your request if space allows.

  • There is a $5 fee for every five(5) minutes that the child remains overtime after their scheduled pick-up time.
